The commercial story is the notable one. A Mexican import overtaking long-established American brands in their home market is a change in what Americans drink rather than a change in the beer, and it happened within a few years.
The beer itself is a light adjunct lager brewed with maize, fuller and slightly sweeter than the pale lagers it displaced, and sold in a can rather than the clear glass that gives its stablemate a skunked aroma. That last difference is not cosmetic — clear glass offers no protection against light at all.

- Bánh mì
