Bierbrouwerij De Koningshoeven
Trappist brewery at the Koningshoeven abbey near Tilburg, and the only Dutch member of the Trappist family.
Also known as La Trappe, Koningshoeven.
Why it matters
Demonstrates that Trappist is a certification about provenance rather than a Belgian nationality: the abbey is Dutch, the beers are recognisably in the Belgian tradition, and the mark applies on the same terms.

The beer that put the word "quadrupel" into the vocabulary, which is why the term describes a strength rather than a tradition.
- La Trappe Tripel
