EBC
The European Brewery Convention colour scale, approximately 1.97 times the equivalent SRM figure for the same beer.
Also called european brewery convention colour.
Commonly misunderstood
EBC and SRM numbers are frequently quoted without saying which is which. A "20 colour" beer is a pale amber in EBC and a deep brown in SRM.
